Adds to geographic scope, service offering with business software consulting firm
Berwyn, PA — July 1, 2003 — IDS Scheer Inc., a provider of business process services and tools, today announced that its subsidiary IDS Scheer Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) has acquired Accounting Solutions Plus Inc. (A.S. Plus), a Harrisburg, Pa.-based consulting firm specializing in the selection, installation and implementation of business software.
The provider said A.S. Plus has been implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems since 1985 and has been a Microsoft Great Plains Partner since 1988. It also offers a combination of corporate accounting and systems experience.
Jeffrey Michaels, president of IDS Scheer SME, said, "This acquisition marks an important milestone in the growth of our IDS Scheer Small and Medium Enterprises business. We are adding to our geographic scope in Pennsylvania and service offerings in the fast-growth healthcare and government sectors."
As part of the acquisition, IDS Scheer SME said it would gain 70 customers from A.S. Plus including Electronic Data Systems (EDS), the PA Employee Benefit Trust Fund and Holiday Hair. In addition, the company will acquire employees from A.S. Plus that have experience in business software consulting.
