TradeCard's paperless cargo receipt handling enables payment for Maersk Logistics customers

New York — July 14, 2003 — TradeCard Inc., a financial supply chain service provider for global trade partners, today announced an alliance with Maersk Logistics USA Inc. to deliver TradeCard's financial supply chain services to Maersk Logistics customers.

The two companies said they would integrate their respective service offerings to enable the delivery of the electronic forwarder's cargo receipts from Maersk Logistics' internal systems to the TradeCard Platform. Wolverine World Wide, International Playthings and Staples are some of the customers using both Maersk Logistics and TradeCard who could benefit from this new arrangement.

In conjunction with the technical integration, Maersk Logistics will offer the TradeCard solution as an extension of their supply chain offerings. Maersk Logistics offers supply chain solutions to manage their clients' physical and information supply chain. The company said TradeCard would strengthen the loop on the transaction side of the supply chain by electronically matching documents and facilitating payment.

"TradeCard's vision is to seamlessly integrate all facets of our customers' financial supply chain so that all information is keyed in once and electronically communicated throughout the entire supply chain and through the settlement process," commented Kurt Cavano, chairman and CEO, TradeCard Inc. "We look forward to enabling this vision through our partnership with Maersk Logistics."
