Signs agreement with Centennial Software to include provider's inventory management solution

Bedford, MA — August 6, 2003 — MRO Software Inc., a provider of asset management solutions, today announced an agreement with Centennial Software to enhance the auto-discovery and tracking capabilities available in the MAXIMO MainControl product suite.

As part of the agreement, MRO Software said it would offer Centennial's, Centennial Discovery, as an option in its MAXIMO MainControl IT asset management suite. The solution offered by MRO Software will be known as MAXIMO Asset Tracker and will provide an inventory of all IT assets along with an evaluation of software usage. The provider said the software could also assist in helping enterprises minimize compliance risks and facilitate planning and budgeting for IT assets.

MRO Software said the product provides customers with hardware and software inventory on networked, standalone and remote systems. In addition, Asset Tracker discovers all network devices for a complete network inventory, identifies the physical location of the network devices on Ethernet networks, maintains an inventory history and provides software usage information.

"Understanding what hardware and software already resides in the network is the first step towards lifecycle asset management," said Suzanne Sliter, general manager, Centennial Software. "Combining Centennial's expertise in inventory management with MRO Software's experience managing multiple asset classes creates a solution for organizations looking to obtain an accurate view and consolidate the management of all strategic assets."

MAXIMO Asset Tracker is available in conjunction with the MAXIMO MainControl repository or on a standalone basis.
