Partners with RSI to provider supplier, distributor information to BURGER KING
Chicago, IL — August 15, 2003 — EFS Network Inc. (EFS), a foodservice supply chain solution company, today announced that Restaurant Services Inc. (RSI), the member-owned purchasing co-operative serving BURGER KING restaurant owners in the United States, selected EFS to provide supplier and distributor performance information to RSI.
The first phase of the collaboration between EFS and RSI has already kicked off. EFS and RSI have completed testing of the new management reporting capabilities and EFS will provide live supply chain performance reporting from RSI's suppliers and distributors this month.
"Our selection of EFS reflects our intent to increase the competitive advantage of the BURGER KING system through use of critical supply chain information," said George Hoffman, president and CEO of RSI. He added that his company believes that timely, fact-based supply chain performance information is required to maximize its responsiveness to opportunities and challenges across its trade relationships with suppliers and distributors.
