NeoGrid, a global technology provider of end-to-end supply chain management solutions, announced the release of its On-Shelf Availability (OSA) solution in North America. Now available on the company’s cloud-based supply chain management platform, NeoGrid’s OSA Solution uses root-cause analytics to prevent out-of-stocks (OOS), while driving collaboration between manufacturers, retailers and suppliers.

Within a single integrated platform, NeoGrid’s OSA solution provides advanced OOS management capabilities, allowing manufacturers to ensure product availability on store shelves by identifying and addressing the root causes of unavailability. The solution takes into consideration inventory levels and actual/expected sales to calculate the probability that an item may become out of stock. Then, the solution uses granular data sets to predict the root cause of the OOS situation and allows the user to take action. As a result, manufacturers can increase sales, strengthen relationships with retailers, better meet demand and improve customer satisfaction.

Paris Gogos, vice president of product and marketing, NeoGrid North America, said, “Traditionally, on-shelf availability solutions focus on fixing today’s problems—alerting users to take action once an item is out of stock. In the meantime, organizations already lost sales as intervention is both expensive and often ineffective. Instead of fixing today’s problems, NeoGrid’s OSA solution prevents tomorrow’s losses through predictive, root-cause analytics. Our goal is to help manufacturers work in collaboration with retailers and suppliers to identify, track, understand and act upon these root causes to maximize profitability and further synchronize the supply chain.”

In addition, NeoGrid’s OSA solution offers user-friendly, interactive dashboards containing key performance indicators (KPIs) to help users understand the level of OSA, the losses incurred and the root causes. From there, users can drill down through this information to identify trends across sales territories and even individual stores. The solution also provides daily alerts, configurable for various audiences, including retailers, warehouses and distributors.
