Management Cockpit Aims to Provide Window into Supplier Relationships for Execs
SupplyOn dashboard helps general managers, decision makers retrieve data that circulates between customers and suppliers on a daily basis
Bloomfield Hills, MI — October 2, 2008 — SupplyOn is supplementing its portfolio of Web-based solutions for optimizing customer and supplier business processes by introducing its Management Cockpit for decision makers in mid-October.
SupplyOn said its Cockpit would be particularly useful for top management teams: By pushing a button, this tool helps retrieve important information for a specific business relationship and displays it in a PDF document.
"With the SupplyOn Cockpit, our customers have access to requests and quotes, supplier rating data, complaints, status of joint development projects or validity of certificates," said John Kay, president of SupplyOn North America. "The information is pulled directly from the data that circulates between customers and suppliers on a daily basis, eliminating the need for additional maintenance or manipulation."
Other benefits that SupplyOn is highlighting include the elimination of searches for relevant information on a specific business partner in various systems, and the ability to make better business management decisions at a faster pace on the basis of the current and readily available information.
In addition, the tool will let managers call up relevant but previously unavailable information when deciding which companies should be awarded for work or when discussing supplier development or organizing project meetings; and customers and suppliers can access data in the same status, reducing misunderstandings between business partners.
SupplyOn provides single sign-on portal technologies that deliver supply chain management solutions in the areas of logistics, sourcing, quality and engineering.
