Evente Launches Free Beta of Online Supply Chain Management System
Web-based procurement solution targets small, midsize businesses with free trial during beta period

Los Angeles — April 23, 2007 — Solution provider Evente has announced the beta launch of Evente.com, a Web-based supply chain management solution that is designed and priced for small businesses but that aims to deliver the benefits, power and security of the large, expensive purchasing-management systems used by global corporations.

Evente asserts that the online solution provides virtually all the features, functionality and benefits of the systems offered by SAP, Ariba, IBM and other providers of enterprise-class supply chain management solutions. Because Evente.com is Web-based, small businesses do not need to install any software and can start taking advantage of the benefits of the system the day they sign up, the solution provider said.

"If you can use Google or Yahoo, you can use Evente," said Chip Zelt, vice president of business development and co-founder of the Zephyr Cove, Nev.-based company.

There is no cost to use Evente.com during the beta phase. At the conclusion of the beta test period, Zelt said, users will be charged a subscription fee, in the range of $25 per month for an entire company, regardless of the number of employees using the system.

In addition, users who sign up at www.Evente.com during the beta test period will receive a waiver of subscription charges for the first full year after the system is formally launched, Zelt said.

The solution provider said that the system would be appropriate for companies of various sizes. "Whether a company is a one-person operation or has hundreds of employees, Evente.com can significantly improve its efficiency in buying raw materials, parts, supplies and services," the solution provider said. "This typically results in cost savings of 5 percent to 10 percent of purchases, which for many companies has the same effect on profits as if the company had doubled its total sales."

Todd Taricco, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Evente, said: "Large companies long ago recognized that supply chain management systems improve their bottom line. But until Evente.com, small and middle-market companies did not have access to affordable, easy-to-use technology that gives them the same smart control of their purchasing."
