Corporate United Adds Global Office Products Offering And Document Shredding Agreement
Deal with Lyreco could provide GPO members with aggressively priced products thanks to combined domestic and international office products volume

Cleveland — October 9, 2009 — Members of group purchasing organization (GPO) Corporate United will now have access to a global office products offering from Lyreco through OfficeMax, as well as document shredding services under an agreement that the GPO has struck with Cintas Document Management.
As part of the agreement with Lyreco, Corporate United members can now take advantage of a global solution for their international office products needs when they participate in the OfficeMax/Lyreco offering.
In October 2008, OfficeMax and Lyreco entered into an alliance to provide office supplies service to their multinational customers in a broader geographical coverage. Corporate United said its agreement with OfficeMax and Lyreco, which includes more than 4,500 common international office products, provides members aggressively priced products due to the combined domestic and international office products volume.
The agreement provides for service level guarantees for order and fulfillment accuracy across the geographic footprint. The agreement also provides a dedicated international account team to develop and rollout a global implementation process, as well as to serve as a member's ongoing program manager.
"By adding Lyreco's global offering to our existing OfficeMax agreement, we will be able to serve the international office products needs of our members," said Marc Rosen, Corporate United president. "We are very pleased our members have already begun to assess and participate in the new offering."
Corporate United's document shredding agreement with Cintas Document Management offers its members onsite and offsite shredding services. This agreement also provides national service coverage with various service options.
Cintas has the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) AAA Certification, and its operation are audited regularly by the NAID and Cintas' general managers and regional business directors. Cintas also provides uniformed and background-checked service representatives, PRC (barcoding) technology for tracking proof of service and chain of custody, and secure trucks for increased security.
