Are You 'Zycus Experienced'?
Solution provider Zycus launches global tour to raise practitioners' consciousness about the possibilities for improved spend management
Princeton, NJ — March 2, 2010 — Sure, you've got your Hendrix poster rolled away in the garage and count yourself among "the experienced."
But are you "Zycus Experienced"?
Spend management specialist Zycus, which offers solutions for procurement, sourcing and spend analysis, has launched its "Experience Tour 2010," which it is describing as "an 'experiential' platform for thinkers and practitioners in the field."
Sound procure-o-delic? In reality, the solution provider aims to expand practitioners' consciousness about what can be accomplished through the application of the latest spend management technologies and best practices.
"These events are a place where [practitioners] will breathe in fresh perspectives on the subject and contribute to the development of a new future for spend management," the company said in announcing the series of events to be held in various cities around the globe through May.
"At Zycus' Experience tour, the teachers will learn and the learners will teach," said Anurag Dixit, vice president of global marketing at Zycus.
Dixit said that the events would be built around content from two types of thought-leaders. "First, renowned thinkers and analysts will educate the audience with precise insight and expansive vision. Second, spend management practitioners from large and successful regional organizations will share real-life experiences of what can be achieved through smart application of a Spend Management philosophy."
Who should sign up to turn on, tune out and drop in on the Zycus Experience?
"Anybody, whose productivity and contribution to their company's profits depend on spend management should attend one of these events," says Dixit.
Some of the speakers expected at these sessions include senior purchasing executives from leading global companies as well as analysts from research firms. No word on whether the events will feature leading bloggers in the space.
Each event is set to start at around noon, allowing out-of-town participants to come in. Audience will be able to watch thought leaders and real practitioners deliver keynotes, and also watch them discuss relevant issues in moderated panel sessions.
Perhaps best of all, Zycus is promising to not blow your travel budget even as they blow your mind — the events entail no registration fee, and the company is offering complimentary lunch and other networking opportunities for participants. Groovy.
The Zycus Experience Tour 2010 will travel to:
February 24 - Mumbai
March 9 - Amsterdam
March 11 - Oslo
May 3 - New York
May 5 - Atlanta
May 7 - Chicago
May 11 - Houston
May 13 - Los Angeles
May - Paris (date to be decided)
An online brochure is available here, and registration information available here. In addition, Zycus is blogging about the event here.
