Dyadem Attacks Cost of Poor Quality with Quality Lifecycle Management Solution
Stature QLM solution aims to fill the quality gap in PLM by allowing stakeholders to take proactive approach, collaborate on quality across the supply chain

Toronto — June 29, 2007 — Software provider Dyadem has taken the wraps off an enterprise solution intended to help manufacturers increase their competitive advantage by better managing quality throughout the lifecycle of a product.

The new solution, dubbed "Stature," is an enterprise "quality lifecycle management" (QLM) application designed to let stakeholders across the enterprise, from design to manufacturing, collaborate in real-time and improve quality, compliance and communication across a global manufacturing enterprise.

By automating processes, Stature aims to help companies reduce the cost of poor quality and proactively improve the design, manufacture and delivery of high-quality, high-value products and processes, Dyadem said.

Filling the Quality Gap

Founded in 1993, Dyadem has focused for some time on prescriptive risk management solutions, offering desktop products that help companies manage compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other safety standards. The solution provider also has focused on specific industries, including medical devices, high-tech electronics, oil and gas, and automotive.

Now Dyadem is seeking to expand its "footprint" within its enterprise customers by offering broader solutions that address "cost of poor quality" across the supply chain, filling what Dyadem sees as a "quality gap" in current solutions for product lifecycle management.

"Quality is no longer just a friendly word for the consumer but is actually affecting cost," said Kevin North, president and CEO of Dyadem, in an interview regarding the launch of Stature. "And if you don't look to vastly improved methods of improving quality, you just won't be able to compete in a global market."

QLM Defined

Dyadem defines quality lifecycle management as a proactive, knowledge-based approach to quality realization that replaces hundreds of spreadsheets with a shared quality specification that can be managed from product concept through product retirement. "It allows the entire value chain to be heard and share information, and allows information to be turned into knowledge for use on similar or subsequent programs. And finally, it allows critical quality realization processes to be automated, improving quality and time-to-market for new products," the solution provider said.
