Better Support for Companies with Rapidly Changing Products in New PLM Release
Arena Solutions' Fall '07 release adds change and request management productivity features, beefs up outsourcing and supplier management functionality
Foster City, CA — September 12, 2007 — Product lifecycle management (PLM) specialist Arena Solutions was set to go live with its new Arena PLM Fall '07 release on Sunday, offering updated features for change management, compliance, outsourcing and supplier management and project collaboration, among others.
The Fall '07 release includes improvements in the overall usability of Arena PLM, the solution provider said, as well as new change and request management productivity features. New outsourcing and supplier management improvements are intended to facilitate collaboration and communication while maintaining a high level of user control.
Updates to compliance management functionality will better support companies with rapidly changing products, Arena said, making it easier to satisfy regulations, demonstrate due diligence and generate compliance reports.
"It is very important to us to remain responsive to our customers, and with this release we have listened closely to their ideas and turned them into enhanced features that move Arena PLM forward in a considerable way," said Michael Topolovac, CEO of Arena Solutions.
More than 70 improvements in the product were inspired by customer feedback that came directly from Arena PLM's FastFeedback functionality, a feature that lets users provide comments and make requests in real time from inside the product.
"While we have a significant amount of personal contact with our customers, we know they are often very busy, so we've made it easy for them to communicate with us with no extra effort by building an instant feedback mechanism directly into the product," Topolovac said.
Companies using Arena's solutions include Foundry Networks, Color Kinetics, Intuit, Sierra Wireless and Align Technology.
