Northwest Airlines Chooses Document Management Solutions

Relizon to manage, optimize airline's document management process

Dayton, OH — August 29, 2005 — Northwest Airlines (NWA) has awarded Relizon a four-year multi-million dollar contract for document management solutions. Northwest Airlines is the world's fourth largest airline with hubs at Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Memphis, Tokyo and Amsterdam, and approximately 1,600 daily departures. Northwest and its travel partners serve more than 900 cities in more than 160 countries on six continents.

NWA will use Relizon's document management solutions, aligning them with NWA's business priorities. Relizon is expected to optimize NWA's document workflow and usage, including the development and production of printed and electronic documents and the implementation of state-of-the-art business tools. In particular, Relizon will develop and distribute to NWA stations located internationally documents that they use daily, including eTickets, airway bills and cargo lot.

Relizon will also deploy its Relizonline electronic order management system to serve as the engine for NWA's Aero Exchange, the airline's internal order management system. NWA hopes to achieve higher levels of efficiencies across its document supply chain, spanning its 900 city network, with the system.

According to Dave Snyder, manager of Northwest Airline's corporate purchasing, "NWA needed a partner for document management that could turn our global document processes into optimized best practice processes. Relizon possesses the perfect balance of experience, technology solutions and broad-based infrastructure to implement and manage a high performance document management process across NWA's far-reaching organization."
