Engineering and construction firm to reducing the cost of running multiple systems with solution from CMiC
Toronto — August 18, 2006 — Fru-Con Construction Corp., a St. Louis-based engineering and construction firm that offers services like design, procurement, construction, start-up and maintenance, said it is implementing CMiC's Enterprise, Project Management and Integration solution set.
CMiC's sales, financial, projects and assets tracking features is expected to enable Fru-Con to integrate all departments and functions by consolidating and managing information in a single database.
Fru-Con was using many stand-alone solutions which introduced a variety of inefficiencies into the business. After careful evaluation of several enterprise resource planning (ERP) providers, Fru-Con opted to deploy CMiC's single Web-based solution because it minimizes cost overhead by eliminating the need for several of its existing stand-alone solutions.
"CMiC's solution set will give us the proper tools to manage risk across all aspects of our company from sales through project close-out within a single information solution," said Dean Modde, manager, Information Systems, Fru-Con. "Because of CMiC's experience and knowledge of the architecture, engineering and construction industry, we expect CMiC to hit the ground running and immediately deploy out-of-box functionality where we need it."
With revenues exceeding $660 million in 2005 and more than 2,000 employees, finding a high-tech, cost-effective solution was a major focus in Fru-Con's decision-making process. CMiC's Project Management Solution specifically enables Fru-Con to reduce the administrative burden on its own staff by deploying integrated, self-service tools for its employees and other project stakeholders to use.
