Integration Point Releases Upgrade to Global Trade Management Solution
Touts better access to compliance content, inventory reduction with version 5.0

Charlotte, NC — April 10, 2008 — Integration Point, a provider of real-time global trade management solutions, announced that release 5.0 of its Global Trade Management (GTM) Solution is now available.

By providing consistent, secure, and real-time global trade capabilities over the Internet, Integration Point said customers can avoid compliance problems and reduce inventory that is often required by less-integrated GTM processes. With this new release Integration Point customers can also better access compliance content that has been more tightly integrated throughout the product suite.

Consisting of fully integrated web-based components, the firm said Integration Point Real Time GTM system allows users to buy and use only those parts of the global trade solution that they need. Users can also add on new components since all applications run on a common platform.

New in Integration Point release 5.0 is:

  • Within Import Management — enhanced integration entry data for reconciliation, fully integrated document retention features across all modules, and improved import analysis, including data feeds to brokers and third-party participants in the transaction.
  • Within Export Management — enhanced techniques for license management, along with the existing Denied Trade Screening functionality that includes over 75 consolidated lists that are proactively reviewed with each integration screening. Also fully supported is automatic Automated Export System (AES) filing, which is anticipated to become mandatory with the U.S. Census Bureau's soon-to-be-published rule.
  • Within Supply Chain Compliance (SCC) — expanded to incorporate Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), product safety and social responsibility validation. SCC also now includes video embedding in order to facilitate compliance and security training throughout the supply chain with questions and certification follow-through. Integration Point Supply Chain Compliance supports an automated validation of trading partners to improve confidence in the security of the user's supply chain in an efficient manner.
  • Within Customs Warehousing — includes the automated integration capabilities across PCC and Customs Warehouse facilities throughout the European Union. This functionality also includes capability for filing with Intrastat, the statistical reporting requirement for intra-EU trade.

Also important to note, Integration Point's version 5.0 continues to extend the integration and complete view of the entire supply chain by bringing compliance, content and connectivity together at every point of the supply chain transaction. Integration Point said this ensures the direct alignment with the requirements of the importing community for fulfilling the forthcoming U.S. CBP's Importer Security Filing, also known as "10+2."

Tom Barnes, CEO at Integration Point, commented: "Our mission at Integration Point is to deliver a global trade network that gives our clients the most up-to-date information so they can import and/or export the right goods, at the right time at the lowest cost."
