AmeriQuest Transportation Services Focuses on Partnerships with For-hire Carrier Community
Taps Jack Summerville to be vice president for carrier services; will focus on building long-term relationships with carriers and expanding programs around fuel, insurance, load sharing
Cherry Hill, NJ — October 1, 2009 — Fleet management services company AmeriQuest Transportation Services has named Jack Summerville to be vice president for carrier services, reporting to Senior Vice President Jim Guice.
In his new role, Summerville is responsible for developing long-term partnerships with the for-hire carrier community in the U.S. and Canada, enabling carriers to take advantage of the savings, expertise and opportunities that AmeriQuest delivers on a menu-driven basis.
Prior to taking his new position, Summerville served as vice president for financial services with AmeriQuest.
"The objective of this position is to drive true partnerships with the carrier community in all of our current services and develop new offerings to meet the fast-changing needs of carriers," said Summerville.
He noted that fuel, insurance, load sharing, over-the-road service and owner-operator services are a few of the offerings that AmeriQuest will be looking to expand. "We will be working closely with national and state organizations, and also specialty product and service groups within the carrier community to address their specific needs," Summerville said.
Before joining AmeriQuest, Summerville worked in the construction and transportation industries, most recently as senior vice president with RDO Equipment Co., and earlier with Budget Truck Rental and Ryder Systems, Inc.
