NPTA Alliance Teams with Accenture to Provide New Education Opportunities for Members
Paper industry trade association teams with consulting firm to offer online learning options through Supply Chain Academy
Chicago — July 16, 2009 — Paper industry trade association NPTA Alliance has teamed with Accenture to offer its members the ability to purchase access to the Supply Chain Academy, an online learning solution provided by the consulting firm.
NPTA and Accenture worked together to identify a program of courses that bring real-time education opportunities to paper and packaging distributors, manufacturers and other industry professionals, targeting supply chain practitioners at all levels.
NPTA Alliance (formerly the National Paper Trade Association, Inc.), founded in 1903, is the association for the $60 billion-plus paper, packaging and supplies distribution industries.
"NPTA is committed to encouraging and supporting the education, training and development of our members, focusing on their individual role, business requirements and development needs," said Newell Holt, CEO of NPTA. "These courses will help members achieve deep functional excellence in supply chain management to maximize their performance potential."
The Supply Chain Academy offers online courses covering supply chain functions and provides access to the latest supply chain theories, best practices and processes. The Academy also includes a specialized portal that provides a curriculum tailored to those with job responsibilities within distributor and manufacturing companies.
