Ann Arbor, MI — May 13, 2008 — LLamasoft, Inc., a provider of supply chain network design software, and Argon Consulting, a French supply chain consulting firm servicing the automotive, retail, consumer products, pharmaceutical and utility industries, have announced a strategic alliance aimed at providing enhanced supply chain network design solutions.
The partnership is expected to focus not only on optimizing network designs on cost and service, but will also include greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and other environmental considerations. GHG is an increasing priority for network modeling programs within the EU.
Through this alliance, Argon Consulting said it will be able to provide clients with a new level of supply chain analysis through the use of LLamasoft's Supply Chain Guru technology.
"The Argon Consulting alliance strengthens our partner network and gives us a quality solutions provider in Europe," stated LLamasoft Executive Vice President, Toby Brzoznowski. "It is vital to LLamasoft to have partners that effectively employ our technology to provide leading-edge solutions, particularly those that are environmentally-conscious."
Argon Consulting said it evaluated numerous supply chain network optimization tools prior to making Supply Chain Guru its network modeling tool of choice. The first client project is already underway — a complete distribution network redesign, including GHG analysis — for a European consumer goods manufacturer.
"Argon Consulting selected LLamasoft due to its technology, including the combination of simulation and optimization technology, and the inclusion of environmental constraints," said Frederic Noel, a partner at Argon Consulting.
