Enporion Completes SAS 70 Audit on Supply Chain Solutions
Independent auditor reviews enabler's e-commerce supply chain management hosted solutions

Tampa, FL — May 9, 2008 — Solution provider Enporion has successfully completed its SAS 70 audit, an independent auditor's review of its e-commerce supply chain management hosted solutions.

The audit covered Enporion's supply chain management services for sourcing and procurement, which enables utility, manufacturing and other companies to electronically conduct supply chain transactions with each other.

The Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, Service Organizations, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is an in-depth audit of a service organization's control objectives and activities, including controls over information technology and related processes.

Application services providers (ASPs), as well as software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers, such as Enporion, must demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards in place when hosting or processing customer data. Enporion underwent the extended Type II SAS audit, which includes detailed testing of controls over an extended audit time period.

In its opinion on Enporion, the auditor noted no exceptions during the audit and that Enporion has established effectively designated control objectives and activities.

"This audit of our operations to gain the SAS 70 approval demonstrates that we are providing trusted, secure supply chain management solutions for our customers," said George Gordon, chairman and CEO of Enporion, "and that we strive to exceed expectations by achieving a higher level assurance of our solutions, which in turn strengthens our customers' operations."
