Carlsbad, CA — August 21, 2007 — MaintenanceNet Inc., a provider of maintenance contract management services, today announced the addition of Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc., Eastman Kodak Company and ADTRAN Inc. to the Ingram Micro Inc. Reseller Services Portal (RSP), which it launched in 2006 and drives increases in service revenues for Ingram Micro's manufacturers and solution providers across the United States.
MaintenanceNet has also announced that it has uncovered a record number of service renewal opportunities — totaling tens of millions of dollars — for Ingram Micro's solution providers over the next 120 days, and has also unveiled a new ADTRAN Service Lookup Utility for the RSP.
"We are very pleased to have these three vendors take part in the highly successful RSP, which in one short year, with MaintenanceNet's support, has already helped our solution providers and manufacturers to realize improvements in their service contract annuity businesses," said Justin Crotty, vice president, services, Ingram Micro North America.
As a core utility within Ingram Micro's Services Division, the MaintenanceNet-powered RSP is free of charge to solution providers. Created to help solution providers leverage revenue opportunities based on margin-rich services, the RSP automates IT product service renewal contracts and includes valuable tools and resources such as e-mail notifications and online access to information on expiring contracts and warranties, unattached assets (products sold without service contracts) and product registration. In addition to Fujitsu, Kodak and ADTRAN, other manufacturers participating in the RSP include HP, IBM, Cisco and Lenovo.
A recent analysis of the RSP showed that participating solution providers were presented with more than $120 million in additional service opportunities across four key manufacturers' products over a four-month period. These service opportunities are related to assets that are uncovered by service or warranties, thereby giving the solution provider an opportunity to either sell a service to the end customer, or provide a technology refresh solution. Beyond that, the portal also presented Ingram Micro solution providers with nearly $95 million in service renewal opportunities in that same 120-day period for the same four manufacturers.
MaintenanceNet differentiates the RSP and its other software as a service (SaaS) offerings by integrating data from multiple companies and multiple data sources along the supply and demand chain into a single, unified software application. The result is visibility into service contract management, spanning manufacturers, channel partners, end customers and every touch point in between.
The ADTRAN Service Lookup Utility allows solution providers to quickly look up a hardware product or part number and then view a list of services that are compatible with the selected hardware to expedite service quotes and transactions. In addition to providing pricing and SKU information, the Service Lookup Utility gives solution providers quarterly updates on service offerings.
