United Plastics Corp. said it required a complete system to run every aspect of its business, from the administrative offices to the complex manufacturing operations. Plexus Online contains more than 350 functional modules that allow companies access to vital information using a Web browser.
With up to 5,000 active dies and multiple production line changes a day, the plastics company needed a robust IT tool to help its flexible manufacturing system. Plexus Online gives the manufacturer a system to track custom plastic extrusions, flexible sheets and rigid foam products.
United Plastics, based in Mount Airy, N.C., provides a diverse line of products to automotive, marine and furniture clients. Through a 58-year history, it has evolved into an employee/investor owned corporation, positioned in the marketplace to provide high levels of service, innovative plastic designs and quality products.
