Fujitsu Computer Systems Extends Partnership with Baxter

FCS to use Baxter's service parts planning tools and outsourced planning services

Austin, Texas — October 19, 2006 — Baxter Planning Systems, a provider of aftermarket parts planning solutions, today announced that a long-term contract renewal for supply chain planning services for Fujitsu Computer Systems (FCS) has been finalized.

FCS, a supplier of enterprise hardware and software products and services designed to maximize the value of IT infrastructures, said it has extended its relationship with Baxter to continue managing the company's service parts inventories.

"FCS is committed to customer service and consistently exceeding the expectations of its clients," said Kevin Wrenn, senior vice president of Operations for Fujitsu Computer Systems. "In consideration of several successful years together and an evaluation of all the available solutions, it was clear that Baxter Planning Systems and Prophet by Baxter met our needs and supported our customers more than that of the competition. We look forward to the continuation of a very successful relationship with the team at Baxter and to passing the benefits on to our client base."

FCS works closely with Baxter as part of a multi-faceted parts planning operation, where Baxter supplies advanced planning tools with the latest version of Prophet, a service supply chain planning solution. Within the new agreement, FCS also utilizes Baxter's "On-Demand Planning" services, which will see Baxter's experienced planners helping FCS plan parts on multiple levels.
