The UPS Foundation Delivers Supplies for Humanitarian Relief Efforts

Nearly 100,000 pounds of American Red Cross supplies went to help those affected by Typhoon Soudelor and Tropical Storm Goni

August 26, 2015—The UPS Foundation delivered nearly 100,000 pounds of American Red Cross relief supplies to help more than 50,000 residents of the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) who were affected by Typhoon Soudelor and Tropical Storm Goni. According to the American Red Cross, Typhoon Soudelor was the most destructive storm to strike the Northern Mariana Islands in the last 30 years and affected thousands of residents in the region.

Last year, UPS’s Humanitarian Relief and Resilience program moved 263 relief shipments across 43 countries.
