Ann Arbor, Mich.—Jan. 2, 2015—CIMdata, Inc., a global product lifecycle management (PLM) strategic management consulting and research firm, announced a new whitepaper covering recent research on model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
CIMdata and ANSYS, Inc. conducted an online, by-invitation survey of senior-level people in industrial companies on the use of MBSE in their organizations. Significant findings are reported in the whitepaper. Some highlights are: while MBSE tools and well-defined processes are important, adoption by people is critical to success; MBSE users are receiving real value as indicated by the survey responses; and (as shown in the chart) large and small companies deploy MBSE by project. Many additional findings are recounted in the whitepaper supported by charts of germane data.
