Network Global Logistics Acquires Medical Logistic Solutions

MLS’s services will be brought to market as a value-add to NGL’s global end-to-end supply chain services and solutions

Broomfield, Colo.Sept. 2, 2014Network Global Logistics, LLC (NGL), a provider of third-party logistics services and solutions, announced that the company acquired Medical Logistic Solutions (MLS), a national medical courier company. MLS’s services will be brought to the market as a strong value-add to NGL’s global end-to-end supply chain services and solutions.

“MLS built a large multi-regional medical courier business focused on servicing the broad medical space. It services pharmacies, hospital networks, clinical labs, blood banks, donor networks, doctors, veterinary services and other health organizations,” said Scott Riddle, CEO for NGL. “With the acquisition, NGL not only strengthens its market position in supply chain logistics and services, but our customers, and the market as a whole, benefits from the increase in options, and overall stronger logistics and supply chain services and suite of solutions.”

“It’s no longer just about life sciences on a national level,” said Rocco Sirizzotti, founder and CEO of MLS. “We are excited to expand the services and solutions we grew over the past two decades at MLS, and to work with the team at NGL to deliver the industry’s most integrated supply chain solution suite to organizations managing complex supply chains around the world.”

The life sciences vertical is one of the fastest growing segments of NGL’s business. The addition of MLS’s routed courier services can enable NGL to expand its service offering to its existing customer base, ensuring that the company exceeds both the current and future needs of its clients. Conversely, NGL’s broad range of services, including Next Flight Out, Air Courier, On Demand or Stat Courier Services, service parts logistics, warehousing and distribution services, and freight management services, are a significant addition and benefit to the MLS client base.

NGL further improves its value proposition because MLS’ robust routed courier service expands the company’s route density and efficiency, and also covers many rural areas across the U.S.

According to Riddle, “Our customers, many of which are Fortune 1,000 companies, appreciate the ability to single-source their supply chain solutions. And the significant expansion of services for clients coming from both sides significantly enhances our ability to do this via NGL’s Integrated Supply Chain model.

MLS intends to continue in its current form and doesn’t anticipate making major, if any, changes to roles and responsibilities across the business.
