LLamasoft Expands Operations into Japanese Market

Ann Arbor, Mich. and TokyoJuly 9, 2014LLamasoft, a global provider of supply chain design solutions, announced an expansion of operations in the Asia-Pacific region, establishing LLamasoft Asia as a new business venture based in Tokyo. The LLamasoft Asia operation opens with a team of over a dozen industry veterans and leadership on staff, and investment from both Japanese professionals and LLamasoft.

This expansion brings the LLamasoft supply chain design software suite, including Supply Chain Guru, Transportation Guru and Data Guru, to the Japanese and Asia-Pacific markets.

According to LLamasoft Executive Vice President Toby Brzoznowski, “Our rapid global growth is an indicator of the demand for supply chain design solutions by organizations worldwide, and Japan’s resurgent market is currently seeking the technology and expertise that LLamasoft offers.”

The office is managed by Misao Sasaki, CEO for LLamasoft Asia. Sasaki said, “As Japan’s economy continues its growth and recovery, companies are looking to keep pace by creating an in-house capability to continuously redesign their supply chain operations.”

LLamasoft Asia already established a new customer, announcing that Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd., a heavy machinery manufacturer, recently selected Supply Chain Guru as the supply chain modeling solution for its steam turbine products headquarters.

Based in Ann Arbor, Mich., LLamasoft has offices in the United Kingdom, France, Colombia, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and China, providing supply chain design software and solutions to some of the largest companies worldwide.
