Leading 3PL Chooses HighJump Warehouse Management

Directed and optimized workflows can help Yobel SCM serve its customers with faster and more accurate fulfillment

MinneapolisJuly 1, 2014HighJump Software, a global provider of supply chain management software, announced that Yobel Supply Chain Management (Yobel SCM) selected the HighJump Warehouse Advantage warehouse management system (WMS) as its key information technology (IT) solution for managing and controlling warehousing operations for its clients throughout Latin America. Based in Lima, Peru, Yobel is one of the leading logistics services providers in Latin America, managing more than 225,000 customer shelf-keeping units (SKUs) and handling more than 15,000,000 units per month for 700,000 destinations.

With the HighJump WMS, Yobel SCM’s operations can keep pace with the company’s growth by offering customers more robust inventory handling services, flexibility and visibility. Directed and optimized workflows can help Yobel SCM serve its customers with faster and more accurate fulfillment. And with the open architecture of the HighJump WMS, Yobel SCM can configure the adaptable solution to meet the current and future business needs of its diverse client base.

In addition to implementing the WMS, Yobel SCM is building a strategic partnership with HighJump Software and its Mexico-based partner, Tsol, in which the three companies can work together throughout the region to provide pre-sales and sales support for Yobel SCM’s other sites and customers.

“We reviewed the competitive landscape and found the HighJump WMS to be a differentiator in the marketplace,” said Andres Diez, corporate supply chain manager, Yobel SCM. “We were the first Latin American company to offer supply chain outsourcing services in 13 countries throughout the western hemisphere, and we will continue our leadership with the adaptability of the HighJump solution and our partnership.”

“The flexibility of the HighJump WMS made it the best fit for our business and IT needs, and helps us address the changing challenges of our competitive industry,” said Jaime Diaz, corporate IT manager, Yobel SCM. “Its ability to retain configurations regardless of future upgrades means a lower total cost of ownership for our company, which was very important to us.”

“The third-party logistics (3PL) industry is one of the most complex in terms of customer demands and changing regulations,” said Gary Nemmers, senior vice president and general manager, supply chain execution group, HighJump Software.

After a successful implementation in two warehouses in the region, Yobel SCM initiated an aggressive second phase that includes the incorporation of additional functionality and a rapid roll-out across Latin America over the course of 18 months.
