Russian Transport Company to Launch Subsidiary in Kazakhstan

Equal and active participation in the railway market will strengthen Freight One's position in the region

April 29--The Board of Directors of Russian transport company Freight One has approved the decision to launch a subsidiary in Kazakhstan, the company reported on April 29.

"Regional diversification of the company's activity is part of a long-term strategy allowing us to improve the quality of services to clients in Russia and Central Asia," the company said.

"Equal and active participation in the development of the promising railway market of Kazakhstan will significantly strengthen Freight One's position in the region, improving the quality and quantity of services to our clients", CEO of Freight One Oleg Bukin said.

In July 2013, Freight One and Kazakh National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakh Railways) signed a memorandum on strategic partnership and agreed on cooperation in transport and logistics business development in Kazakhstan.

Joint Stock Company Freight One is the leading freight railway operator in Russia. The Company was founded in July 2007.

The structure of Freight One includes 14 branches offering client service covering the railway network in all regions of Russia. In Ukraine and Finland the interests of the Company are represented by Freight One in Ukraine and Freight One Scandinavia. Freight One offers a full range of freight transportation services. Over 80 percent of its clients are leading industrial enterprises of the country. Freight One is a subsidiary of UCL Rail, the railway division of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding, an international transport group.
