Old Dominion Opens New Service Center

Duluth, Minn.-based service center to serve as a gateway to the Great Lakes shipping region

Duluth, Minn.July 10, 2012— Less than truckload (LTL) service and value-added logistics services provider Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. opened a new eight-door service center to serve the Great Lakes shipping area and surrounding cities in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The new Duluth Service Center will serve customers in Twin Ports; Hibbing, Ely and Grand Rapids in Minnesota; and Hayward, Webster, Minong and Cameron in Wisconsin.

“Duluth is the gateway to the northern mining industry,” confirmed Kenneth Coleman, Manager of the Duluth Service Center. “With this new location, Old Dominion will complete its expansion for Minnesota, one designed to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. The service center is a doorway to the rail service and major ports in the Great Lakes area and will be a complete solution center for direct service to points nationally and globally. This will only enhance the service Old Dominion provides to its customers.”

This addition is part of a $90-120 million investment Old Dominion is committing nationally to real estate purchases and expansion projects in 2012. The company’s 218th in its nationwide network of service centers, the Duluth Service Center provides the company with convenient access to rail heads and major roadways, including Interstate 35 and U.S. Highways 2 and 53.

The new Duluth Service Center is located at 3115 Hill Ave., Superior, Wis.
