Cargo Services Inc. Adds New Team Members

Midwest-based freight forwarder appoints Jefferson Clay and Emily Hoffman

IndianapolisMay 24, 2012—With a network of hundreds of agents in more than 80 countries, global freight forwarder Cargo Services Inc. hired Jefferson Clay as Director of Business Development and Emily Hoffman as an agent of the Ocean Export department.

Clay has nearly 15 years of industry experience and will be responsible for developing the northern Indiana/southwestern Michigan territory for Cargo Services. Prior to joining the company, Clay held the position of Vice President of International and Station Managers for Platinum Cargo Logistics, where he was responsible for all aspects of the international product of the company, including local and national sales. He was the qualifying individual on the FMC license and led the company through successful IATA certification. He holds a dangerous goods certification through IATA and IMDG. Clay is a graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind.

Hoffman joined Cargo Services with six years of industry experience. Prior to joining the company, Hoffman worked in the UPS Supply Chain Solutions international office as an account executive managing the logistics for accounts in the Chicago territory. She also supported sales representatives across the U.S. in her role in the ocean freight rating division of UPS SCS. She most recently worked as an ocean export coordinator for North Star Container LLC, an NVOCC, where she specialized in agricultural goods. Hoffman is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Business Management.
