Courier Exchange Partners with Contractor Management Services (CMS)

Partnership to provide independent contractors with increased benefits and solutions

Carlsbad, Calif.—April 3, 2012Courier Exchange, a provider of managed freight exchange services for the domestic road transport industry, has partnered with Contractor Management Services (CMS), a full-service leader in independent contractor management (ICM). This partnership is designed to provide clear and open communication between Independent Contractor (IC) members and client companies of both CMS and Courier Exchange, while providing client companies with cost savings and helping ICs maximize their incomes.

“We’re very excited about our new partnership with Courier Exchange. We can now assist our members in increasing their revenue and decreasing unloaded miles,” said Scott Grandys, Chief Strategy Officer, CMS, Peoria, Ariz. “We can also help client companies post loads that will be matched with available Independent Contractors which, once matched, can be sent to the member’s email or cell phone. And this is just the beginning.”

CMS contributes its proprietary technology and service offering to the partnership, known as ICM Power, which helps client companies and ICs lower costs, reduce risk and stay compliant while increasing efficiency and profits. The partnership will also allow businesses to access a real-time online platform, where posts can be viewed and discussed between client companies and Independent Contractors.

“We have spent a long time getting to understand the U.S. market and the tie-up with CMS brings together two very complementary services,” said Sam Munitz, Chief Executive Officer, Courier Exchange. “Our exchange has the potential to enhance efficiency and profitability for companies and Independent Contractors alike, whilst providing further validation of the IC model for CMS clients.”
