TomTom Teams With ModusLink for India Expansion

Waltham, Mass.—March 13, 2012—With the help of ModusLink Global Solutions Inc.’s global supply chain strategy execution, Amsterdam-based TomTom launched its newest Solution Center in Hyderabad, India. In this location, ModusLink executes value-added warehousing and distribution services, including packaging, assembly and content load for TomTom GPS devices and accessories in the country, managing fulfillment to distribution and retail channels in the local India market.

Out of its Hyderabad, India Solution Center, ModusLink performs content loading of localized map software, kitting, assembly and fulfillment of TomTom GPS device product lines throughout the country. TomTom also relies on ModusLink to package and handle the transportation management for GPS accessories such as cases, covers, device mounts and chargers in the same region. All devices and accessories that are distributed out of this location are produced for local India markets.
