Chelmsford, MA—January 26, 2012— Software solutions provider Kewill Inc. announced that it will now deploy Acushnet Co.’s golf products—including balls, clubs, shoes, gloves and apparel— for their nine U.S. locations with potential for global roll-out in the future.
Fairhaven, Mass.-based Acushnet wanted a solution that could span its organization—regardless of geography—and handle thousands of packages per day per location. After an intensive needs assessment, the company selected Kewill to reduce cost and improve visibility and control utilizing Kewill Pack, a Kewill Flagship module that allows users to pick and pack cartons and shipments while verifying the contents against actual order details.
“With a commitment to a global roll-out of our ERP (Lawson) and the work that has already been done in portions of our ex-U.S. operation with Kewill Flagship, we felt Kewill was the business partner we wanted on our team,” said Peter Marshall, Chief Information Officer of Acushnet. “Because of the flexibility that the Kewill solution offers, we will be able to leverage this technology to support our business goals and enhance efficiency.”
Kewill’s software solutions are targeted toward the areas of freight forwarding, customs and export compliance, parcel shipping, transportation and warehousing, eCommerce and B2B integration.
“Growing organizations such as Acushnet Company recognize the need for a shipping solution that can handle not only the complexities of their business but also scale to support their aggressive growth plans,” said Mike Dolan, Chief Operating Officer, Kewill Inc. “We look forward to expanding our relationship globally and delivering a productive and powerful solution specifically designed to enable faster results and increased customer satisfaction.”
