King of Prussia, PA — January 18, 2012 – TAGSYS, a provider of item-level RFID infrastructure, and Supply Chain Visibility and Tracking Systems, today announced the appointment of Monte R. Lucas as Vice President of Sales for North and South America.

Monte Lucas has more than 23 years of hands-on experience in the automation market, including fourteen in RFID. Previously, he held high-level positions with Hi-G-Tek, Matrics RFID (acquired by Symbol), Intermec Technologies, Zebra Technologies and Paxar/Monarch (acquired by Avery). Lucas also has significant experience in both sales and business development of supply-chain solutions, including advanced product development, marketing strategy and design of barcode / data collection / automation systems for Retail, Transportation, and other key markets.
