RADNOR, PA – Dec. 19, 2011 – Storeroom Solutions Inc. has named Marilyn Dawes vice president and chief accounting officer. Based in the company’s Montrose, Pa., office, Dawes previously served as director of finance and accounting.
Dawes joined SSI in 1997 as manager of Finance & Accounting where she was responsible for all accounting functions including receivables, payables and general ledger for the company, as well as the accurate and timely processing of tens of thousands of invoices a month from thousands of vendors. Over her tenure with the company, her supporting staff and financial responsibilities grew as the company also expanded. In her new role, she is responsible for all accounting functions for the company, reporting directly to the chief financial officer.
“Marilyn has been with our company since its humble beginnings and is a key contributor to the company’s growing success,” said Carlos Tellez, President and CEO of Storeroom Solutions. “She continues to perform at a high level and has done so for 15 years.”
Al Thorp, CFO went on to say, “Marilyn’s reliability and dedication to the company have earned her this deserved promotion.”
Dawes began her career in retail, as unit controller for a national travel center chain. She segued into manufacturing as office manager for a small manufacturing company, worked as business manager for a retail automotive dealer and was later accounting manager for a manufacturing company before joining SSI. Marilyn graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Lehman campus of the City University of New York.
