Eden Prairie, MN—Nov. 29, 2011—HighJump Software, a provider of supply chain management software, announced Horizon Beverage has selected the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) to manage its new 500,000-square-foot distribution center in Norton, Mass.
Horizon Beverage distributes wine, spirits and beer in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. The growing, family-owned beverage company expects the HighJump WMS to help boost accuracy and efficiency of Horizon’s operations while improving service to customers.
Horizon Beverage chose the HighJump WMS because of HighJump Software’s industry expertise as well as the adaptability of the HighJump solutions. “HighJump Software has extensive experience in the wine and spirits industry so we know we’re in good hands,” said Michael Epstein, vice president of operations and general counsel, Horizon Beverage. “We were impressed with the flexibility and configurability of the HighJump WMS, which will enable us to adapt the software to our business and make adjustments easily as our business changes.”
The HighJump WMS will integrate with a new material handling system and drive improvements throughout the company’s distribution operations, leading to increased shipment accuracy, reduced truck-loading time, and better customer service. “Our HighJump solutions will allow us to be a smarter company by optimizing the movement of product in our distribution center,” said Epstein. “If we’re smarter and more accurate, our customers will notice.”
