3i Infotech allies with Advanced Software Designs to meet needs of midsize enterprises

Edison, NJ — February 14, 2006 — Indian IT solution provider 3i Infotech is partnering with Advanced Software Designs (ASD), a provider of product development and regulatory software, to offer process manufacturing software solutions targeted at mid-market companies in key verticals such as food and beverage, chemical, lubricants, paint and coatings, cosmetics and personal care products.

Through the strategic alliance, 3i Infotech will pair its flagship enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, ORION Enterprise, with ASD's ProductVision product development system to provide a process manufacturing solution.

The solution providers said their joint offering will address the business information needs of the mid-market process industry, including formulation management, product modeling, product cost and attribute analysis, material safety data sheets, nutritional labeling, forecasting, production planning and scheduling, segregation, lot control, FEFO inventory management, manufacturing and multi-stage quality control.
