Descartes service to enable global manufacturer to validate business value before committing to pan-European deployment
Waterloo, Ontario — March 2, 2006 — Canon Europe NV, based in The Netherlands, said this week that it has completed its pilot and signed a longer-term subscription to deploy The Descartes Systems Group Inc.'s Visibility & Event Management solution for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.
Canon Europe is using Descartes Visibility & Event Management, an on-demand, Web-based solution that works across enterprises, geographies and transportation modes to track and trace shipments to its customers in the EMEA region.
Descartes provides a framework that lets Canon Europe monitor, measure, query and report on order and delivery information at the line-item level. Descartes' Visibility & Event Management solution leverages the Descartes Global Logistics Network, one of the world's largest multimodal networks of transportation and logistics services providers and their customers.
