Palo Alto, CA — March 17, 2006 — Symphony Services, a global provider of lifecycle-outsourcing solutions for software product development and analytic processes, announced that Iron Mountain Inc., a provider of information protection and storage services with 2005 revenues approximately $2.1 billion, is extending its software outsourcing agreement with Symphony that includes software development, testing and quality control work.

Iron Mountain said it will use Symphony's storage software expertise to help it deliver storage and data protection solutions to its customers. Symphony would dedicate a team of 80 engineers for Iron Mountain across its two Global Operating Centers in Bangalore and Pune.

"Iron Mountain Digital, our digital data protection and electronic records management business, saw the value of partnering with leaders like Symphony a few years back — products like our Connected DataProtector/PC have benefited from the partnership," said Greg Nicastro, senior vice president, product development at Iron Mountain. "Going forward, Iron Mountain Digital and our entire Iron Mountain development organization's multi-shore strategy will benefit from a broader and deeper relationship with partners like Symphony."

Symphony said it has experience in the storage and data protection industry. More than 15 percent of ongoing client engagements include a storage component, including large companies such as BMC Software and emerging companies like Mimosa Systems and Kazeon Systems.

In addition, the company has an established Storage Center of Excellence (CoE), which is supported by a seasoned management team and experienced software engineers. With dedicated global operating centers for Iron Mountain in both its Pune and Bangalore locations, the company has grown each team to meet emerging technical, business and resource needs.

Symphony's software engineers support Iron Mountain on multiple products across their data protection and records management business lines. Symphony's role has expanded from testing, quality assurance and support to development of specific solution features and functionalities, teaming closely with Iron Mountain's internal development groups in several locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Washington.

"Today companies are responsible for collecting and guarding the security of exponentially increasing amounts of highly sensitive data. Iron Mountain has a vision to develop a secure, single interface for organizations — one that can eventually track the lifecycle of information across all forms of media including paper, disks, tapes, optical and electronic," added Shirish Deodhar, senior vice president, head of Pune operations and the storage domain leader for Symphony Services. "We are excited to help make Iron Mountain's goal become a reality."

Ajay Kela, Symphony Services' president, India, commented, "Iron Mountain has taken a thoughtful, well-planned approach to building a worldwide company with a global service offering. In utilizing the best talent available in the world to extend its existing staff and increase capacity, Iron Mountain has been able to cost-effectively improve the quality and features of its solutions while speeding delivery and accessibility for its customers."
