Marlborough, MA — March 22, 2006 — Thermos LLC, a global manufacturer of insulated products, said this week that it has selected Kewill Flagship to further automate the company's shipping operations. Kewill Flagship will support the increase of online consumer purchases of Thermos products anticipated as the company expands its online shopping presence.

Kewill Flagship is a multi-carrier shipping management system that provides a single electronic source for accessing and service-shopping FedEx, UPS, DHL and USPS. The Flagship solution will integrate with Thermos' enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from Oracle.

Thermos' primary distribution focus of its products has been business-to-business through retailers. It's business-to-consumer online business has steadily grown over the past three years, and it is projected to scale further.

Anticipating a significant increase in shipment volume for Web-based purchases, the company's logistics organization wanted to increase the efficiency of its shipping operations with automation and integration with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i. Previous shipping methodologies required a high degree of manual intervention, as well as maintaining synchronization between supply chain planning, ERP and supply chain execution tools was cumbersome.

With Kewill Flagship, our shipping managers will now receive customer orders through Oracle together with the requested shipping information, said Austin Wu, MIS Manager of Thermos. Regardless of the carrier, Flagship will print out the shipping label, saving Thermos countless hours by eliminating the previous requirement to re-enter customer information. The Flagship technology offers Thermos a foundation we believe is crucial for meeting our future fulfillment demands.

Supporting businesses with high-volume shipping demands is what we do best, said Michael Dolan, chief operating officer of Kewill. Our carrier independent shipping management solutions are designed to operate with ERP systems to bridge the order management and fulfillment supply chain processes. We're pleased to support Thermos' expanding business-to-consumer business with Kewill Flagship.
