Supplier looks to improve quality, delivery with online system from Plexus

Auburn Hills, MI — May 31, 2006 — Su-Dan Corporation is set to streamline its operations by implementing an on-demand manufacturing system from Plexus Systems to manage its entire enterprise.

Su-Dan, based in Rochester Hills, Mich., is a design, engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in precision metal stampings, technical plastic insert, injection and over molding, welding, riveting, staking, spinning and assembly. The company has five manufacturing operations in Rochester Hills and Orion, Mich., and in Belton, S.C.

Plexus said that its flagship Plexus Online solution will help advance Su-Dan's ability to track and manage its entire automotive supply business in real time, as well as integrate all operations — from electronic data interchange (EDI) and sales to purchasing, production, quality, shipping and accounting. "Plexus Online also helps manage growth, maintains lean practices and reduces costs," the solution provider said.
