Miami — August 9, 2006 — Ryder System is partnering with LoJack Corporation to market LoJack's vehicle-tracking systems to commercial truck fleets in an effort to combat truck theft, Ryder has announced.

Ryder Safety Services will be the exclusive online provider of LoJack Systems to commercial truck fleets in the U.S. market through its www.RyderSafetyServices.com Web site, which provides access to safety- and security-related products, compliance services, training and information.

LoJack's systems are based on radio frequency (RF) technology. Signals from the system can be tracked to locate a truck in a steel container, garage or hidden under dense foliage. LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) are installed in law enforcement vehicles, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, which police use to track and recover stolen vehicles.

LoJack invented the global stolen vehicle recovery market, and it says that its systems deliver a better than 90 percent success rate in tracking and recovering stolen cars and trucks and have helped recover more than $3 billion in global assets.

Today LoJack operates in 26 states and the District of Columbia, and in more than 27 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia.
