Logistics company chooses Trans-Soft solution to help manage growth

Scottsdale, AZ — January 28, 2005 — Logistics company Air, Land & Sea Express has implemented a solution from Trans-Soft in a bid to improve its communication capabilities for customers and manage its organizational growth.

Air, Land & Sea is a St. Louis-based full service logistics company that provides custom transportation solutions domestically and internationally. The company is using Trans-Soft's TS2000Net software to provide its clients with shipment status via the Internet and the TS2000 Plus freight forwarding software to provide the internal productivity improvements that are necessary to sustain and manage the significant growth it has been experiencing.

It was this expansion of Air, Land & Sea that prompted the company to invest in software that would improve its overall performance. "We realized that our traditional manual methods of the past were straining our operations during this dynamic growth period," said Bob Bratkovic, vice president of sales and marketing at Air, Land & Sea Express.

"We also recognized the adverse effect that outdated operational methods could have on our future expansion," Bratkovic continued. "Trans-Soft's proven software provides the solutions we need to effectively manage our growth while supporting customer demands by improving communications capabilities with them. The end result provides our clients with easier methods of working with us, thereby affording them with productivity enhancements."

David Hockersmith, president of Trans-Soft, noted that one of the most important aspects of freight forwarding is keeping track of freight movement so it is not mishandled. "Our software, designed by freight industry experts, was developed with that in mind and provides the logistics solutions that enable real-time access to critical shipment data, which creates greater shipment visibility and reduces user workload," Hockersmith said.

Trans-Soft said that its suite of software modules performs a variety of multi-office operating and administrative functions for critical supply chain management. "TS2000 Plus and TS2000Net software applications offer the right transportation solutions for both established and growing transportation companies by utilizing Web interfaces to meet specific logistics requirements throughout the distribution process," Hockersmith said.
