Arrow Electronics expands design engineering, post-manufacturing services for industrial OEMs
Englewood, CO — February 11, 2005 — Arrow OEM Computing Solutions (OCS), the division of Arrow Electronics Inc. that provides manufacturing, system integration, and supply chain management services to industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and intellectual property-based companies, today announced the expansion of its design engineering and post-manufacturing services to complement each phase of its industrial OEM customers' product lifecycle management (PLM) requirements.
"Arrow's expansion of services in design engineering and post-manufacturing is in response to the growing demand from its intellectual property-rich OEM customers to rely on a single partner to provide end-to-end services," said Chuck Kostalnick, vice president of sales, Arrow OEM Computing Solutions.
The expanded services from Arrow OCS are designed to make the division a one-stop full service partner for the manufacturing and product lifecycle support of industrial computing solutions in key vertical markets, including federal (defense, aerospace), medical, industrial, communications, and point-of-access/gaming.
Arrow OCS said its services offering to customers includes such things as system design and qualification, FDA expertise, engineering support services, application development, service parts logistics management, and hardware maintenance.
Arrow has been in the business of embedded computing since 1982.
