Deploys platform from IDS Scheer to drive its enterprise system configuration

Berwyn, PA — April 5, 2005 — Communications giant Lucent Technologies has selected the ARIS Process Platform from IDS Scheer to define its enterprise architecture and create a single repository for process documentation. The ARIS deployment will also drive Lucent's design and configuration of its enterprise system.

According to Dr. Mathias Kirchmer, CEO, IDS Scheer in North America, IDS Scheer will deploy ARIS to cover the entire business process management (BPM) lifecycle, including design, implementation with Lucent's enterprise system and controlling using ARIS Process Performance Manager (PPM).

"Our ARIS Process Platform will play an integral role in aligning Lucent's business processes and delivering standards across its entire organization," explained Dr. Kirchmer. "We will use the full ARIS Solution Suite in collaboration with its enterprise application to design, implement and control business processes and create a continuous loop of process excellence."

Dr. Kirchmer said the ARIS Process Platform provides a business process management platform and central process repository to create a blueprint that drives an organization's BPM initiatives.

In the second half of 2005, IDS Scheer will release the newest version of its ARIS Process Platform, ARIS 7.0. ARIS PPM, which is designed to enable companies to measure and boost the efficiency of their core business processes.

In mid-2005, the company will announce ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM 4.0).
