Miami — April 6, 2005 — New Generation Computing Inc. (NGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Software Inc., today announced that Rocky Shoes and Boots Inc. has selected NGC's Web-based sourcing and production system, e-SPS to help streamline its global production of footwear.

Rocky Shoes and Boots, a manufacturer and retailer of outdoor and occupational footwear, installed the software at its Nelsonville, Ohio, headquarters. e-SPS is expected to enable the company's sourcing team to complete steps in the production lifecycle in real time via the Internet.

"NGC's e-SPS will provide us with end-to-end visibility of our entire global sourcing functions," said David Sharp, chief operating officer of Rocky Shoes and Boots. "We conducted extensive research and found that NGC's software products are recognized as the industry standard by leading apparel and footwear manufacturers."

NGC's e-SPS consists of 11 software modules, including e-Product Development, e-RFQ's & Bids, e-Production Tracking, and Event Tracking and Management System.

Current e-SPS users include VF Corp., Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. and S. Schwab Co.

Rocky Shoes and Boots was founded in 1932. The company has more than 3,000 retail and catalog outlets nationwide.
