Software meets requirements for connecting business process for automated data classification to SAP NetWeaver platform

Boston — May 23, 2005 — Spend analysis specialist Zycus announced at the recent SAPPHIRE '05 conference for SAP users that its artificial intelligence-based auto-classification software (AutoClass) has received "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" certification from the German enterprise resource planning solution provider.

This certification establishes that AutoClass 2.5 is fully compatible with the SAP NetWeaver open integration and application platform. Organizations running on the SAP Web Application Server 6.20 and the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 components of SAP NetWeaver can now take advantage of new integration features, such as launching the product as iView software from the SAP Enterprise Portal, Zycus said.

"The certification is evidence of our commitment to the global SAP customer base," said Sandip Maiti, vice president of marketing for Zycus. "It will help assure companies running SAP solutions that AutoClass was developed, tested and delivered according to SAP-approved guidelines.

"The advantage of AutoClass can be realized by customers using SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) as the platform for global spend analysis," added Maiti. "AutoClass, when used in conjunction with SAP BW, helps organizations set up an automated spend data management framework for consistent and accurate classification of millions of line-items of transactional spend data aggregated from dispersed source systems to granular schema (such as UNSPSC, eClass). The classified data when loaded to any analytics tool can provide detailed visibility into enterprise-wide spending and can throw open an unbeatable competitive edge in procurement and sourcing intelligence."
