CODEplus to also provide U.S. Army with technical engineering services
Fairfax, VA — August 1, 2005 — In a move to improve logistic processes and operations, the United State Government, and in particular the Department of Defense, have awarded CODE Plus Inc. a blanket purchasing agreement (BPA) to provide passive radio frequency identification (RFID) software and engineering services to the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard.
The two-year BPA is a multiple-award contract vehicle that can be used to issue various RFID-related task orders each with a ceiling of up to $5 million. Under the terms of the agreement, CODEplus will supply the Army its eManageIT RFID Tag & Ship Solution, eManageIT RFID Network Health Monitor and an array of technical engineering services, including software development, system integration, training and deployment.
"The award is the latest in the series of recognitions CODEplus has received as a forerunner in the area of RFID by the Commercial and U.S. Federal Government communities," said Jinan AbouShakra, president and CEO, CODEplus.
