Nevada-based 3PL using order/warehouse management solution as part of strategic growth plan

Grand Rapids, MI — August 11, 2005 — Third party logistics (3PL) provider ITS Logistics has gone live with a 3PL order and warehouse management solution from Provia at the company's new 200,000 square foot facility in Sparks, Nev., the solution provider has reported.

ITS Logistics is a Nevada based, full service 3PL offering a range of supply chain solutions to manufacturers and distributors, including inbound transport into their facility, raw material to finished goods inventory management and integrated customer service, among others.

As part of the company's overall growth strategy, it has made investments in both new facilities and technology, including Provia's FourSite3PL order management and warehouse management solution. According to Provia, FourSite enables companies to sort, report and track product orders and product handling costs by customer, while automatically producing the appropriate billing.

"Using the Provia solution is a huge leap for us technologically and really gives us a more solid base to build upon," said Darryl Bader, vice president of ITS Logistics. "The combination of using the Provia solution and moving to a larger facility will allow us to attract and win new clients and to offer them a much more complex level of logistics services. With ViaView, our customers will have access to real time information and key performance indicators, which will be a huge differentiator for us."

Bader said that ITS has already begun to see results since going live with Provia. "We've seen improved levels of productivity with our workforce, particularly with the use of the radio frequency (RF) terminals," he said. "The biggest area of improvement has been in our cycle time. Before implementing Provia, it would take us about 24 hours to receive a product and have it available for outbound orders. With Provia, we can receive a product and be able to ship it in the same day."

In addition, ITS Logistics has licensed Provia's ViaView event management and decision support product and will implement ViaView later this year.
