Nebraska retailer signs up to use Web-based intelligence solution from PerformanceRetail to improve loss prevention, market-based analysis

Austin, TX ? October 24, 2005 ? Whitehead Oil Company has selected a Web-based retail intelligence from PerformanceRetail for implementation across its retail chain as part of an initiative to improve loss prevention, market basket analysis and category management.

Whitehead Oil Company operates or supplies more than 30 retail locations in and around the Lincoln, Neb., market under the U-Stop Convenience Shop flag. The company is deploying PerformanceRetail's InSite Retail Intelligence Suite across the chain.

PerformanceRetail said that the InSite solution is the convenience retail industry's only hosted retail intelligence software offering and that the solution is designed to integrate with customer-installed legacy back office, pricebook and point-of-sale systems. Intended to provide users of those systems with better business visibility, InSite delivers packaged reporting and analytics for loss prevention, sales and operations improvement and category management.

The solution can help retailers identify issues and take proactive steps to improve revenues, margins and streamline store operations, the software company said. Delivered as a service over the Internet, InSite can be deployed at the retailer's pace, PerformanceRetail said, simplifying implementation, reducing risk and protecting the retailer's past technology investments.
