Richmond, CA — January 23, 2004 — Canadian fashion specialty retailer Holt Renfrew has implemented a product information solution from QRS in a bid to improve global product synchronization with its trading partners.

With hundreds of active trading partners, Holt sought to improve the process of synchronizing product information to ensure data integrity across its trading community. The company selected QRS Catalogue, a centralized repository of product information containing over 90 million current and unique items.

"We chose QRS based on its experience supporting retail industry trading communities," said Stuart Fraser, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Holt. "With the help of QRS, we can access a large number of our leading suppliers' product data via QRS Catalogue."

Over the past several months, QRS has provided Holt access to the product information of more than 75 suppliers with Catalogue. "We are already seeing the operational benefits of an increasingly integrated supply chain, which enables us to better execute our growth strategies," Fraser said.

Based on the success of the implementation, Holt plans on upgrading its QRS Catalogue service in the upcoming months to enable real-time access to its suppliers' product information.

QRS said that suppliers who use Catalogue can meet Holt requirements while improving the way they exchange information and transact with their customers. Catalogue helps suppliers improve order accuracy, which can translate into a lower cost of doing business, the solution provider said.

"By using QRS, Holt Renfrew has access to a trading community of hundreds of GMA manufacturers and brands," said Renee d'Ouville, vice president of product strategy at QRS.
